I started the day at Banc Club Casino. I ended the day at Travertine Hot Springs.

US 6 to Benton, then CA 120 (open on Mar 3) to 395 - genius!
Thought I was going back to Hawthorne, but brainstorm! Cut over to 395 instead. Feeling very smart right now.

Here is a short description of the evening:

I arrived on foot a little after dark. There were 4-5 cars around, but I didn't see many people. There was one fellow in the nice tub by the parking lot. I joined him and we chatted away for a while. He left, and I had the tub to myself for a while. A couple came and almost joined, but decided to move on. Worked for me!

I hd a nice hassle-free soak with only nice people, and a nice walk back to the campsite.

Story for today: An unusually mild February.
