Finish the drive
Very tasty breakfast pork chop at Rustic Table. I was so efficient that I had time to stop and chill in Sonoma Square for a while.
The kids go to camp
First day hanging out. Go with Martha to pick up the kids. That’s the excitement for the day.
Fun with Chad and the truck
Saturday's are interesting. We licked up Martha’s RV and drove it home, had beer and bbq at the readhouse.
Look at houses.
Got coffee and my beloved Sunday paper, looked at family houses in Santa Rosa, and little houses just for me in the retirement community.
Day camp and the Outlet Mall
I actually drove the van to pick up the kids. I messed up and bought too small Vans :(
Extra day hanging out at the house
Did nothing except hang out and play with the kids when they got home.
Route one in Sonoma
Love my spot. Walk down to the cove (twice!). Walk around the cove to get to the bar and grill.
Lunch in Gualala
Walked to the beach twice. Great sunset.
No place to stay in Fort Bragg
The day is so long when you get up early! Mendocino Coffee, Trestles, wade in the surf, Glass Beach, Route 20 to Willits.
Nice beach Sunday in Fort Bragg
Back in the 90-100° heat this morning. Found a Sunday paper. Back out of the heat and in the redwoods for tonight.
Sunday paper search, coffee and donuts(yum!), chillin in the redwoods
Willits wasn’t good to me today, but once I got out of there, it was a very nice day.
Leisurely trip up the Avenue of the Giants
Knowing I have a place to land tonight makes this a relaxing day. Enjoy the Avenue of the Giants.
All day in Eureka. Then Trinidad.
Walk tothe donut shop, tag along with Katie to visit her mom Betty, who I have also knows forever since Katie was a kid. Drive up to Trinidad in the late afternoon.
Breakfast in Trinidad, Samoa Beach
Breakfast with Martha, then the long way back through Manila/Samoa. Basketball at Dave’s again.
Driving through the redwoods is quite pretty.
Breakfast at Los Bagels, then easy drive down to my pick of camping spots at Standish-Hickey.
Because I have AC the drive was pleasant.
Very pretty drive most of the way. Rdwood country to Lake country to that little mountain range that defines the west side of the Valley.
Breakfast in Yuba City, drive home.
Took the very lovely back way to Yuba City, great breakfast, easy drive home.
