This is where I will experience the eclipse! A nice site still available at 3 pm.

Got the "corner lot", a cozy, relatively shady spot at the corner of the main road into here and the B Loop road. Good afternoon shade, but terrible morning shade.

Got the inviting looking place next to where I was last time. Has (I think) the best vista view of the valley. I fear it will get direct sun in the am, we'll find out.

B loop closed this time! Must experience A loop for the first time!

Very good experience as it turns out. One of the few spots left on Presidents Day Weekend had really the best Sprinter-spot in the whole place. Very nice night.

I alway get here late because I do the Auto Tour at the NWR. Perfect post-rain evening. There is no one here except a high school field trip which is keeping things lively.
