Disneyland for adults! many bars, three restaurants, weekend concerts, historical buildings, free coffee, beautiful grounds, and warm soaking pools with groovy little shower thingies and complementary bathrobes. deee-LUX!
There are men's and women's dorms at opposite ends of the third floor, so one can stay relatively cheaply.

The last time I was here was 26 months ago, when I was embarking on a trip just Like I am now. Worked great last time.
They reserve by bunk now. The lowers are odd numbered. My faves are 1 and 3 and 11. They have a lamp next to them. It's pretty dark around the corner in the Men's Hostel.
Wifi is way improved all over the campus, and is now quite good in the Hostel.
upper bunk is a pain
The check-in kids are a little more snippy and authoritarian than two years ago. They charge your card $50 extra just because they can. The wifi seems weaker.
However, they've rearranged the men's dorm so each bunk's lockers are next to it - more user-friendly - progress! Bunk/locker 3 is my favorite.
Pleasantly unchanged. It is a ripping perfect fall day, yet there is nobody here! I feel very fortunate.
After my stupid, stressful return to the van repair place to get my battery grounding wire tightened (AARRRGH), mellow out with one more day ay Edgefield before starting home. Had a great breakfast!
Van repair place is closed Fridays and weekends, so ... stay at Edgefield for the weekend!
Hole up here for the Labor Day weekend. Worked out really well except that there was a big concert Sunday night with the result that there was a really drunk, really loud a-hole fumbling around at 2 am in the Men's dorm.
