Seven long winding uphill miles off busy Route 26. Nice when you get here though. A parking lot, bathrooms, and short walks to eleven spots with a picnic table, a fire ring (barred from use - fire danger) and a tent space. That's the whole thing. What people come here for is the 2 mile, 1,640' hike to the top of Saddle Mountain.

Cafe conjures up an image of a modest little restaurant. This place is HUGE! A multiple tour bus handling, multi-roomed dining hall and entertainment complex. I was kinda put off by the style, but the servers were nice, the food was good and plentiful, and it was fun! As part of their hillbilly hospitality thing one is welcome to sleep in the parking lot! For all my snobbishness about it, it was actually very pleasant. Everything about my night and morning in Sykesville was very nice.

Just a parking lot, but, really very pleasant. The last left before the Fishtrap Resort turnoff. Couple of miles of gravel road, then a left after the nice farmhouse to BLM land. It's listed in my app as Fishtrap, but really what you're looking for is the Hog Lake Trail parking lot.

There is a tents only campground here, but I got here late in the day and the nice lady called the supervisor and said sure, you can park in the corner of the lot. Bless them! A railroad right-of-way has been repurposed to be the Delta Heritage Trail, and this is a spot for the hikers/bikers that use it.
