    • A great find! Very nice BLM campground right off US 93 between Phoenix and Kingman

  • Meriwether Lewis Campground
  • Natchez Trace Parkway, Hohenwald TN

    • A campground on the Natchez Trace Parkway, so you don't even have to exit to get there. Drive past the M Lewis obelisk and up the hill to a really nice, free federal government campground.

  • Stony Fork Campground
  • George Washington National Forest, Wytheville VA

    • Wonderful campground only a few miles off of I-77. Sites with elec+water, elec only, or neither (my favorite!). All reasonably priced, and with Senior Card, downright cheap!

  • Willow Creek Campground
  • Williard Bay State Park, Williard Bay UT

    • On lovely Williard Bay, the northeastern, freshwater(!) arm of the Great Salt Lake.

  • Springhill Campground
  • Army Corps of Engineers, Ft. Smith AR

    • Really nice place, good bargain. Quiet and natural, but close to civilization. A Loop is more open, on a point of land in a calm little estuary of the Arkansas River. B Loop is in the forest above the actual river. They have showers.

  • Kiptopeke State Park Campground
  • Virginia State Parks, Cape Charles, VA

    • Expensive for the non-resident, but a nice campground in a spectacular location, on the Chesapeake Bay just a few miles north of where it meets the Atlantic. There is a cool little boardwalk access to the beach, where you can walk along the beach to the boat ramp/picnic area/fishing pier a little south. Really fun place.
