They have a parking lot dedicated to overnighters and trucks carrying boats/trailers. There's one very comfy stop next to a tree. It's really handy for me as an overnight before Harbin.
Used the place to its fullest this trip. Arrived 6:30 after a gorgeous sunset at Sacto NWR, had cocktail hour in the van before going to the sports bar at 7:30 to watch Warriors and eat. Their "green salad" side dish is very good. Then in the morning did usual coffee+pastry+wifi+order a sando for the road, plus a hunk of peanut brittle for Christmas!
parking lot is pretty empty, I was able to get my favorite spot at the edge of the grassy area. Looking forward to the sports bar beer and I think salad bar(!) tonight, and watching some of the W's game on their wifi - because they don't get it on their TVs :(
I had a nice evening this time, got there after dark, got the best spot, and worked it pretty well. The sports bar is an odd mix of farm families wanting a dining experience, and regular sports bar dorks. But they all drive half-ton pickups, and that's how you know you're in the valley.
More pleasant in the winter. Local TV does not get Warriors games, sadly.
The RV lot is filled with a giant for some kind of tent, but it's all good, just park in the other lot
Sunset at the Colusa wildlife refuge, park, sports bar that night, then breakfast or coffee and baklava the next morning, get a sando for Harbin, and I'm set!
Update: last visit, I think someone tried to break into the van while I was drinking and wifiing in the bar. The screen on the little ventilation window in my sliding door was torn, my only theory is someone tried to reach in and unlock the van - yech!
