Funky place on the Russian River, more lo-budget than its fancy neighbors. We got a lovely site surrounded by redwoods, 40 yards from the river.
They moved from a tiny one bedroom on a busy corner to a more spacious two bedroom on a quiet cul de sac in a better neighborhood. Even better, there is an upstairs where I can: 1. sleep, 2. barricade the top of the stairs so the cat can't sleep with me. So woo!
There's no signs to say it's ok to overnight (or not!). Allstays says they allow it, so I did it and it was great. I parked at the edge of what used to be the dump station loop, behind the Information Center building. There's a couple of trees, a covered area (with no picnic table), looking out over the skateboard park 100 yards away. Nobody bothered me from 7pm to 10 am. Kudos to Guymon!
Expensive but perfect beach campground. Close to the lovely and user friendly towns of Lewes and Rehoboth Beach.
spent more time at my site this time - very pleasant, woodpeckers and that nice pine tree smell!
funky, but very convenient, probably awesome on a pretty day. Sadly it was gloomy and windy when I was there. good windsurfing I'll bet!
pretty cheap, had a coupon in the coupon book, on the hill north oflovely downtown Depoe Bay. I enjoyed my stay!
Spent two nights here in two rooms with the extended family for a sixth grade basketball tournament. Every room has a kitchenette. Continental breakfast is very well-stocked. Quite nice!
Just a parking lot. Not even a porta-pottie. No trails, no views, no nothing. But is sure was nice to be able to park there overnight!
Very basic motel on Center St, about five blocks south of Center and Main, the core of any good Mormon town. A lot of semi-permanent residents. Not really sketchy, just poor. Indoor pool and jacuzzi were very nice.
Finally, an easy place to stay in Tonopah! I guess it's been here all along, I just never noticed it. The Banc Club is a modest little building full of slot machines, and they have a large gravel parking lot next door with a sign that says RVs welcome! An easy walk to downtown Tonopah ... such as it is.
very user-friendly, downtown right across the bridge, and next to a rec complex with bike paths, tennis courts, swimming pool, etc.
Expensive, but oh so cool, on the bluffs at Cardiff CA. The town is right across the highway, great bluff-waking for miles northward, Cardiff Beach and beach side restaurants southward. Mornings and evenings are often pretty gray and damp. Nice firepits.
Beautiful location high on the bluffs above the mighty Mississippi. Nice set of trails with awesome vistas on the river bluffs
deluxe state park. Almost close enough to walk to town, beach and tidepools and trees and grass, pretty much everything
Nice little resort motel in the Reno getaway party town of Graeagle.
A modest city park in downtown Malta. In a grassy area between the fairgrounds and the Milk River you can camp for $5 a night. Pretty sweet.
expensive but deluxe, with hookups. very nice hike over to the wildlife preserve, near downtown
cool old place with all the usual McMenamin's amenities. Parking is two blocks away. Downtown McMinnville is pretty cool, nice restaurants, nice coffee spots
